A former Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) CEO has begun talks with Oracle on becoming an Oracle “top executive.”

The Wall Street Journal reported that former Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) CEO is in talks with Oracle Corp. on becoming a “Top Executive”.

As per the report, Mark Hurd, the former CEO of Hewlett-Packard (NYSE:HPQ) who stepped down last month, is expected to join Oracle Corp, performing similar job functions as at HP (NYSE:HPQ).

Though the report didn’t mention specifics about the talks, the present CEO of Oracle Corp., Larry Ellison, who has been there for the last three decades, is reportedly not planning to leave his position.
