Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) said it will drop support for software updates on previous versions of its Apple TV.

No New Update From Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL)

In a press release event in San Francisco, the company has officially announced that the old Apple Inc. (NASDAQ:AAPL) TV owners will no longer be getting any software updates from the company.

The newest development came after the introduction of a revamped model this week.

The event was also used to introduce a new range of iPods, a newer version of iTunes and several OS previews.
