Los Angeles, CA, United States (AHN) – Even the force of Eminem and Rihanna can’t stop “California Gurls” from holding the #1 spot on the Billboard Hot 100. Katy Perry spends a fourth week at the top with her smash single, thanks to breaking record spins at pop radio and selling another 302,000 digital singles this week. The song also surpasses the 2 million mark this week in digital sales.
The song isn’t at the top of the Hot Digital Songs chart, being beat out by Eminem and Rihanna with “Love the Way You Lie,” who hit #1 with sales of 338,000. It’s good enough for a #2 debut on this week’s chart for the second single from “Recovery.” Rihanna earns her 10th top five single on the chart this week with the single, while Eminem earns his 8th.
Down a spot to #3 this week is Usher with “OMG,” feat. Will.I.Am. Following at #4 is B.o.B. and Hayley Williams with “Airplanes,” also down a spot this week. Also moving down this week are Travie McCoy and Bruno Mars with Billionaire at #5, and Drake with “Find Your Love” at #6.
At #7 this week is Mike Posner with his debut single “Cooler Than Me,” moving up a spot from #8 last week. Ke$ha is at #8 this week with her hit “Your Love Is My Drug.” As it starts to near the end of the top 10, Ke$ha is readying the release of her next single, “Take It Off.”
At #9 this week is Lady Gaga with “Alejandro,” down from #7 last week. Closing out the top 10 this week is Jason Derulo with his latest single, “Ridin’ Solo,” which climbs up from #16 to #10 this week. Following “Whatcha Say” and “In My Head,” it’s Derulo’s third top 10 single from his self-titled debut.
