Lowe’s (NYSE:LOW) Gets Serious About Recycling
Recycling centers in almost 1,700 stores throughout the U.S will enable customers to discard any expired unbroken CFL, any rechargeable battery up to 11 pounds and all used cell phones and plastic shopping bags.
The products will be transported safely to recycling facilities where they will be processed and reclaimed to materials that can be used to make new products.

Lockheed Martin (NYSE:LMT) has announced a contract extension for automated flight services.

The three-year extension contract which will cost $356 million comes into being from Oct. 1. The company took over the AFSS function in 2005.

Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO) has agreed to clean up the groundwater at its former plant.
New Deal For Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO)
Initially it will focus on conducting a study of alternative remedies for the groundwater contamination, and will then suggest remedies for addressing the contamination.
EPA would then review the proposed remedies, and with the approval of the Agency, Marathon Oil (NYSE:MRO) would proceed with plans to implement the work. Moreover the company itself would see to the cost of the study and the entire work.
